Tarot Of The Week - Two Of Swords

The Lord of Peace is a friendly Sword, which comes as something of a relief when we have spent so much time dealing with his more belligerent cousins. However it must be noted that the card often comes up to indicate that a conflict has been resolved or a breach healed, so there will have been trouble earlier on. It indicates that a painful and difficult situation is being reconciled. Friendships are rebuilt, old wounds are healed. However in this context it is very important to look carefully at the cards which follow it, for there is often a feeling that a relationship will never be quite the same again as it was before the conflict or quarrel. At an inner level, the 2 of Swords really comes into its own, for it marks the period of tranquillity and calmness that can arise when we have finally made difficult decisions, and acted upon them. Often it will come up to show that, now we have got to grips with our confusion, we can rest and recover. The card will also come up to show that we have let go of old fears or anxieties that were holding us back. It's a still card indicating a time to rest and recuperate.

Sounds good to me, I want a time of peace, I apologise for not posting much this last week but I haven't been well and on top have been very busy what with getting the laptop fixed and having to deal with other matters. To have a peaceful week sounds great to me and well if friendships are getting stronger am all for it. There is much changing round me and I am glad to see that so far the cards have been right with their readings, even when I haven't really looked forward to their results the cards have been accurate and positive.

Goths In Advertising #9 - Benetton

Ok it’s not really an advert that you would see on the TV but hey it’s an advert, anyone going to go for it?

Dark Desires #9 – Rings From Alchemy Gothic

What good gentleman isn’t a little devious and has a small stash of something hidden away for pepping up the spirits, like snuff or is forearmed when a lady has a headache that he has got a few pills stashed away just in case?

These rings from Alchemy Gothic provide the answer.

Tarot Of The Week – The Empress

The Empress is numbered three and symbolises one half of a perfect polarity - the Emperor being the other side of the balance. From the purity of the High Priestess we move naturally onwards to the Empress' sense of bounty and fertility. She represents the Mother Goddess, fulfilling her part in the eternal cycle of creation.

The Empress holds the power to steadily and determinedly rebuild, renew, nurture and nourish. She has an unquenchable and generous courage, responding instantly when she sees a need to defend. Her realm is built of love, fertility and warmth. When the Empress holds us we are once again in the sure safety of the infant at its mother's breast.

She also represents unconditional love - making no demands and setting no conditions. If we allow her love to flow through us then we too can become a pure spring through which the Universe flows. Only our fears stand between us and the Goddess.

Wow what a positive card, sounds like things are going to get majorly better which I have to say I am glad about.  It’s of course the bigger picture we are looking at and well I feel the love around me each day of late so that is no bad card to see, especially after the news the Muse had in the post today, I feel excited not just for my future but for hers too.  More on that after she has made it public of course.

On a side note have you noticed in the card, that the little girl is vaguely like Claudia in Interview With A Vampire?  Look carefully and you can see in the card the signs of the past slipping away into insignificance.

A Trip To Vaynor And Cefn Coed

I was playing round, as I mentioned earlier, this time with images found on the computer and have bee wanting a new border for putting video entries on here with.  This was the border I designed however I think it works very well for pictures too.

So I thought as it came out nicely I would share some more of my photography.  These are local to me for those who are unfamiliar with the area.  We see in them both the Vaynor churches, together with a number of views from there of my route to Cefn Coed and also Cefn Coed viaduct, all 21 arches of it, built in 1866.
