So Everyone Is Aware

I’ve told a few people this already but now it comes to putting it here.  This blog is going into hiatus starting immediately, though may well have a few entries written on it during the break.  I am restarting in January 2010, with a new layout, new features, new ideas and hopefully a lot of the old good content styles.  There will be copies of some important posts made on the new blog but I have to sift through to see which are important and which are not.

This blog is going to be archived at as yet an unknown location, but will be accessible for future reference. 

So why am I archiving and having a break?  Simply because I have decided that 2010 is the year that I make something of myself and I would rather not have the negative side easily accessed by me to bring me down.  Also I need the break time from the net, each of these entries takes a considerable time to write and design.  So I am going to use the time to be more successful, so I have more interesting topics to write on.  Since I started this blog back in February there have been just over 4000 hits, about 400 of which have been on one entry, relating to Fuseli’s Nightmare, with that in mind I realised that I am not really getting the numbers I feel this blog deserves, which was discouraging until I realised something.  That something was that a blog is only as good as the writer, my life isn’t getting the credit it deserves so I am going to try make something good of it.  Something that is worth reading, something that makes blogs like the excellent Gothic Tea Society blog, the beautiful Hexotica and Vintage Venus worthy of their trust in me to link to it.

This blog will still be a very personal blog, I don’t like blogs that are all impersonal and tell you nothing of the individual.  But the way I am going to do it is different to before.  I am going to be using less long forms like this, instead I hope to use poetry, images, more esoteric things to tell you about me.  Demonstrating who I am rather than telling you about me in some boring long essay form.  There will indeed be one or two entries a month that will be wordy, after all I am somewhat known for my deep and challenging thoughts it seems.

The aim is for my 39th year to bring me some security, which in turn will make me more confident, unemployment sucks at best, low paid jobs such as the ones I have had also is not good for the future.  It is therefore time to further my education, enhance my career and get on with life.

There is a side of me also that has been left very dormant, I used to be a very sensual person, then I hit a wall there was no way round, to this day I have been left with a few marks as a result.  However I recently broke a hole in that wall, now it is time to make the whole wall unstable and eventually it should come tumbling down.  That too will be documented in the best ways possible!

I have to say also I am suffering the usual post vacation itchy feet,  I want to see more of the world, ideally with people I care about, but I just know there is a big world out there, I have yet to discover most of it.  Part of my goals for the year are to find ways of seeing some of it, even in passing!  Any career suggestions to help that would be welcome.

This does not mean I am leaving you all high and dry,  I will be around occasionally to tell you of progress.  If any of you have an entry you really feel I should read, feel free to leave a comment on this entry to let me know, I will be checking the email account frequently.

I will warn you now, the me that is re emerging has been hidden very well on this blog, he’s shown his face sometimes but by no means enough to make me happy and at the end of the day it’s made me unhappy both with this blog and who I am so if I don’t speak to some of you in the meantime, others I know I will do, have a blessed holiday season and may your 2010 be as good as mine is going to be!

Look forward to seeing those I know in person in person then and also perhaps some of you I don’t!
