Tarot Of The Week – The Devil

So I am reintroducing this feature, it is a useful thing to me.  Every week I ask what the week’s influences are on me.   I think you would agree that this is an interesting reading!

The Devil card has several meanings. The Devil card can represent the vices and/or addictions the seeker is wrapped up in and a need to control them or at least be aware of their presence before they become a major problem. It’s about temptation.

However, sometimes, it can also represent the seeker needs to loosen up a bit and have some fun and be a little naughty, just don’t go overboard. It can also represent seduction and sex. Our primitive needs need to be address but not necessarily allowed to rule.

The Devil card could also signify that the seeker must overcome blocked feelings that are preventing him or her from moving to the next level in life. If not confronted, these feelings could cause considerable damage to the seeker. This is the dark aspect of the psyche. It is a time to remove blocks and inhibitions.

It could also represent being subservient or bad outside influences as well as our own fears.

So let us look at that meaning, I find it interesting to say the least.  Yes there is lots of loosening up to do in my life right now, it’s been a stressful year.  Traditionally this is the time of year too I am most stressed when I am unemployed.  So I could do with something to relax me and make me feel more content, even if I have nothing to be content about in my proximity, there is much I am content about in my life in general.

As for it representing sex and seduction, I don’t see that happening this week, especially as things stand but am open to it, though am quite happy to relax my inhibitions, as I covered yesterday my morals are undergoing some changes, so why not my inhibitions too?

There are feelings I have which are indeed changing too so I can feel different, I feel I am evolving, I just am not sure how that is going to take place fully. That will come with evolution of thought processes  Guess we shall wait and see.

A side note I am putting it here because putting it on my facebook became a joke and please feel free to ask other people that know me this.

I am looking for a card that symbolises me to your way of thinking in the tarot as I am looking for a significator for future readings.  Any ideas are welcome!
